47,000 tons of fish exported during the year 2001

Methods of Packing and Shipment:

1) PACKING :

1.A) Freshly caught fish are immediately iced at the landing/auction centre and transported to the factory.

1.B) On arrival all fish are washed and as per the customer's requirement the fish are profiled - such as whole/round, gutted, fillet, loins, head /less,tail /less, scale /less, skin/less, etc, etc.

1.C) Then these are kept chilled with ice+water+salt,in the Chill Room from 8 to 24 hours, till the Product temperature registers -2Deg.C.below zero.

1.D) 6 hours before the actual departure of the scheduled flight - the fishes are packed in PE(THERMOCOLE) BOXES of 20 Kgs net weight capacity, each fish are wrapped in nylon and thus packed. Fresh Ice- in sealed pouches or Dry Ice is put in each Box, sufficient enough till the shipment reaches the destination port of discharge.

1.E) The total quantity of each shipment is divided in these boxes, and shipped to the customer.

1.F) Documentation : Each shipment will contain the following documents :

a) Commercial Invoice.
b) Certificate of Origin- Chamber of Commerce issued.
c) Health Certificate- issued by Ministry of Fish
Wealth, Yemen.
d) Packing List.
e) Airway Bill.
f) European Standard Requirements Number

All of these and or as required by customer the original documents will accompany the cargo, while a copy of these documents will be faxed to the customer as soon as the flight departs.

Airlines will usually inform the Consignee of the arrival of a cargo.

All Fresh Fish are held and kept under Refrigeration rooms.

 

2) TRANSPORTATION COST/FREIGHT COST - FROM MUKALLA TO ANY AIRPORT OF EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS  ;

2.A) The Freight cost per kg BY EUROPEAN AIR to AIRPORT OF ANY EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS from Mukalla Airport via Dubai will be about USD1.35 PER KG.- THIS IS NOT FIXED AND IT DEPENDS ON WHICH AIRLINE WE USE.

10) FRESH FISHES- PRICE LIST: Note: All Prices are in US Dollars and C&F,PRICES ANY EUROPEAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
